CWO Daniel P. LaMar, USN Retired
Daniel P. LaMar, 50, of Shiremanstown, died Tuesday 23 March 2004 in the Harrisburg Hospital. He was the husband of Phyllis M. (Hollywood) LaMar. A graduate of Northampton High School, he was a retired chief warrant officer for the Navy, having been last stationed at Memphis Naval Air Station, Memphis, Tenn. Currently, he was a watch officer for the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency.
Born in Allentown, he was a son of James Peters of Allentown and Joyce Demczyszyn of North Catasauqua. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, New Cumberland, where he sang in the choir. He belonged to the Irish Heritage Society and was vice president of Childrens Friendship Project for Northern Ireland, Inc.
Surviving in addition to his widow and parents are three daughters, Susan M., Danielle L. and Karen S., all at home; four brothers, John D. Demczyszyn of Northampton, Scott W Demczyszyn of Quakertown, Mark Peters of Albrightsville and Larry Peters of Alburtis; and several nieces and nephews.
Dan was a Nassau plankowner and reported aboard as an HT2 in R Division.
